Looking for a perfect protein shake?

I’m someone who rushes out the door in the morning. I regularly skip breakfast. I know it’s bad for me, but when you’re juggling three boys out the door and running two jobs, something’s get left behind, and for me it’s eating in the morning.

And knowing how important breakfast is, I knew I needed to do something about it, in a way that I could manage with my lifestyle. So I turned to the Protein Shake.

It seemed easy enough – mix in a shaker and head out the door. Done. But I have pretty high standards with food, and so I decided to look into some of the brands and this is what I found.

So this is why, after balancing it all out, I chose JuicePlus+ Complete. It’s not the highest in protein, but overall I felt it offered a good balance of lower sugar and adequate protein. It was the only shake that was free of cow milk proteins – perfect for the milk intolerant, like me, and it contained a good mix of fruit and vegetable extracts along with ancient grains for added nutrition and fibre. In the words of my 19 yr old, who grabs one on the way out the door to school “If it’s a plant, it’s in here.” Yep, that’s about as good as it gets for me.
